How we test
We cover narrow categories precisely because they reward careful reading. Here is exactly what we do, and what we do not claim.
Frame the category
Before any product, we work out which specs change the experience and which are marketing. That framing becomes the buying criteria on every category page.
Build the shortlist
We gather the models people genuinely cross-shop in each sub-niche, then cut anything with unverifiable specs or a pattern of quality complaints.
Verify the numbers
Manufacturer claims get checked against manuals, certification databases and owner reports. Where a claim cannot be verified, we say so rather than repeat it.
Keep it current
Prices and stock move constantly, so we send you to Amazon for live pricing instead of printing a number that is wrong by next week.
What we do not do
We do not accept payment for placement, and no brand sees a guide before it publishes. Where a recommendation is based on specification research rather than long-term hands-on use, the page says so.
